My idea for presenting my research:
writing a story about an Afghanistan
child immigrating to New Zealand....................

( I think I will write from the perspective of a girl because of the immense contrast
in the culture of the Afghanistan woman in comparison compared to the men)

What positive and negitive effects do refugees have on Christchurch?
What do some refugees face and go through?
How do many refugees escape?
Where do many refugees originate in general?

Key Ideas........

refugees as a whole suffer from similar situations
the struggle with language, culture, and finding jobs and support
it dosn't matter how long they live in New Zealand, how well they speak the language, act like kiwis, they will always be different culturally
many refugees face tragic war events in thier past
many escape 'illegally' over the border

A refugee is a person who flees to escape conflict, persecution or natural disaster.
Owing to a well-founded fear of being persecuted for reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group, or political opinion, is outside the country of their nationality, and is unable to or, owing to such fear, is unwilling to avail him/herself of the protection of that country.

AFGHANISTAN.................

Terrain: Landlocked; mostly mountains and desert.
Climate: Dry, with cold winters and hot summers.
Area: 647,500 sq. km. (249,935 sq. mi.); slightly smaller than Texas.
